Introduction of center

Mechanical Engineering Experimental Teaching Center of DUT was established in 1999, basing on Primary Disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, National Key Secondary Disciplines of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, as well as Key Laboratory for Precision and Nontraditional Processing of Ministry of Education. The center now possesses 9 laboratories, including Mechanical Basis, Hydraulics, Measurement and Control Technology, Geometric Testing, Engineering Graphics, Pneumatic Technology, CAD/CAM, Creative Combination Model, and Mechanical Manufacturing Technology. In 2009, the center was entitled as Liaoning Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center and in 2015 approved as National Experimental  Teaching Demonstration Center .
     The center has a reasonable structure, excellent technical skills of the experimental teaching team. 53 full and part-time staff, including 75.5% staff with the professional title of Associate Professors, Senior Engineer, and above, 52.83% with a doctoral degree. The staff mainly responsible for experimental teaching task of undergraduate students from Mechanical Engineering and other engineering subjects, such as Chemical Machine, Material, Shipbuilding, and Vehicle etc.. Currently the center possesses 790 experimental equipments, with a total value of 34.74 million. The experimental usable area is 6520 square meters, supporting 58 available experimental projects. Central teachers have won 3 national teaching achievement awards, 4 national scientific research achievement awards, 4 provincial and ministerial level teaching achievement awards, 3 provincial and ministerial level scientific research achievement awards. Center teachers have published 66 papers, and 9 textbooks. Since 2010, students participating in various kinds of science and technology innovation competitions have won 4 international awards, 88 national and provincial awards, and have applied for 23 invention patents.
